The Graduate Institute of Integrated Medicine was founded in 1999 and has offered the master and doctoral degree programs since 1999 and 2012 respectively. Our institute enrolls students who have graduated from universities recognized by the Ministry of Education with majors in Chinese medicine, medicine, post-bachelor Chinese medicine or medicine, or dentistry and hold practice licenses of Chinese medicine, medicine or dentistry. The goal of our institute is to enhance the students’ profession as well as foster their teaching ability and research capacity in integrated medicine.
Based on the core institutional values, the teaching objectives of our institute are to foster students with compassion, prudence, diligence and integrity.
Our institute is the first and the only graduate institute which integrates the theory and practice of the Chinese and western medicine in Taiwan. Therefore, it becomes our responsibility to promote the essence of Chinese medicine and integrate it with western medicine to achieve interoperability. It is hoped that in the future a new system of medicine will be established.
